Slavery
Bit of a though provoking blip today. This is a poster up in our house, with a quote by Abraham Lincon.
On September 22nd 1862 Lincon declared that as of January 1st 1863, all slaves in states in rebellion against the Union "shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free."
This happened 29 years after The Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 in the UK which abolished slavery in all of the then British Empire.
It was a great moment in history but today slavery still exists in the UK. Even as recent as this summer people were being charged with trafficking.
The question is, what can we do to stop this?
