Bright Lights over the Kaituna River
After a busy day socialising with friends, I got a call tonight from Daring2Go who was out with Optomist, down by Lake Ellesmere, shooting the stars.
With an interesting sky above - full of stars, moonlight and light pollution from Christchurch over the hill - I headed down the road to meet my fellow blippers on the rail trail.
Walking over the Kaituna bridge, I set up my gear to capture this shot of the flood debris tree in the middle of the river. I also managed to capture a passing car too, it's headlights illuminating the middle of the shot for the entire exposure.
Congrats and comments still keep flooding in for my staff pick aurora shot from Wednesday. I'm struggling to keep up with replying to all the comments and faves, but fully intend to, so if I'm yet to say "thanks", thanks!
