Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
In this picture, you can see people on the right walking over to our Campus Green to go sledding. Off to the left, you can see two boys playing soccer - one is moderately dressed for snow, the other is wearing shorts and a long sleeve shirt. I loved seeing them outside.
As I type, the snow is finally getting heavier. Classes were canceled for today, but I'm hoping the snow keeps falling and tomorrow's classes get canceled too! That would be excellent.
Today, while I was outside looking for a blip, I was walking through the snow. It was falling and sticking in my hair and to my hat and scarf. I just stopped and let it fall. At that moment, I was so happy. I had the same feeling that I get when I am at a concert and the crowd sings a band's lyrics. It was excellent. I want to wrap that feeling up in a box and save it forever.
'Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening"
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
