Another day another medal

I know this is all about rowing but what can I say- I'm a fanatic! Was so awesome to see Hamish and Eric take out gold in the M2-, Julia and Sophia take out the bronze in the LW2x and Rebecca and Louise also take out gold in the W2-. So amazed at the NZ and again, proud to be a kiwi. I was however incredibly amazed at the generosity of a US medal winner. As We stood at the barrier of where the medal winners get back into heir boats, two Dutch kids (probably about 8 who I was finding very annoying if I'm going to be honest) were yelling and screaming for autographs of anyone they could. They were persistent and I guess just joking around but then Mike Gennaro from the US men's four came up and gave one girl his bouquet of flowers and then took the World Rowing Champs shirt off his back and gave it to the other. I was so stunned at his generosity I literally had my mouth hanging open at what just happened next to me. Incredible. But in all honesty I wish it was me haha!
