ouch - find

I was absolutely delighted by the response to my little hopper from earlier in the week. Thank you all for the comments, hearts and stars.

This mornings 'dog walk find' was not such a cheery sight as we happened upon this little kitty who was curled in a ball beside the road and barely lifted her head as she had a dog in her face.

She had clearly been hit be a car so I quickly returned home with the dog and collected a towel, some gloves and a basket in which to transport her to the vet.

She barely made a sound as I lifted her into the basket and I feared that she might not last the journey.

The fabulous people at the vets administered some pain killers, and checked her out. She was xrayed and has a badly injured jaw and a little bit of damage to her foot but appeared otherwise OK so her foot was bandaged and she was going to have her jaw wired this afternoon.

Unfortunately she was not wearing a collar and has not been chipped so I am going to try and reunite her with her owner and/or raise some charitable support/money to fund her treatment/rehoming.

Despite her trauma she was wagging her tail and purring when I took the picture.
