Dunstanburgh Castle

Walked to Dunstanburgh castle this morning - very blustery by the coast! The castle ruins were very dramatic, set on a cliff overlooking the sea. I love the colours of the sky and grass in this photo. I spent a long time choosing between this shot and this one with its brooding atmosphere - a sharp contrast to the cheerful tones of this photo. In the afternoon we went to Belsay Hall, another beautiful castle (there certainly is a theme developing to this holiday!).
