Last flush..

Found myself on the moors again today. The heather is nearing the end in some places, but the views are still stunning. This one is on the road to Glaisdale looking across to the sea at Whitby.

I wandered along a path in amongst it, so quiet and peaceful apart from the Grouse. Its hard to imagine people walking these moors in all weathers to get to markets and the small hamlets.
