Stuck in the mud

... the community police van, at the family fun day in the park, organised by Allsorts, an activity group for children, families and carers of disabled children. CleanSteve was there as a town councillor, who helped to fund Allsorts, and I was there because I know some of the children but wanted to know more about Allsorts. It looked a fun day, though people did begin to pack up and leave not long after we arrived.

Afterwards, we went to a wonderful garden party in three adjoining gardens in the Uplands area of Stroud. All the houses have steep upward-sloping back gardens, and tents and rugs had been set out on the high lawns, with food on the terraces below. I ate far too much, and connected with friends old and new. Sadly, it was far too crowded to take good photos, so the stuck-in-the-mud van will have to do instead.

Shortly after I captured this scene, the police organised a team of people to push the van, and they made their exit, ignominiously.
