.............baby sitting............
The Boss was up and out early to work.............I followed shortly after.
Quiet morning...........every thing ready for Charlie and Hannah to be dropped off for a sleep over...........the S & H and YH are off at the crack of dawn tomorrow to Silverstone for the Moto GP..........and then the phone rang..............
The bro-in-law, Jungle Rob.............to ask if we could look after their pup Rodders for the afternoon while he went to watch the noisy neighbours attempt to play football.
Rodders was delivered at 2.00..........he's 8 months old and full of beans...........he ran the Daughter and I ragged for a while and then settled............the Daughter took him out for a huge (2 hours) walk.....they got back.....we dried him off....he settled again............and then Charlie arrived at 5.00.
It was hard to tell who was most excited..........Rodders or Charlie........squeals....barks.............running around.............Hannah tried to get involved. Charlie lost all sense of decorum when Rodders rolled onto his back......"Look at his willy!"............and we only just managed to stop Hannah from grabbing hold of a couple of things that would have given him the shock of his life!
Jungle Rob and Sue got back around 6.30...........I was mildly happy because the noisy neighbours had lost........the bro-in-law thought he was funny because he had brought me a souvenir from the match..........I'll get my own back in good time.
The Daughter made spag bol............for 6 adults and a still excited 3 year old.
Hannah was put to bed............we ate...........the Boss came home....the S & H and YH left..............Charlie was put to bed............the Daughter went out............Rob, Sue and Rodders left...........eventually the house was ours again.....and quiet.....by 10.00.
Now it's almost time for bed................fishing tomorrow..........and then it's back to the grindstone at 8.30 on Monday.......unless I've won the Lottery...............now where did I put that ticket?
