Bellingham Show
The show in Bellingham is a delight. Local farming families are all there, busy showing sheep or dogs, riding ponies or horses, entering the industrial section (cakes, eggs, veg, knitting, stick dressing, flower arranging, etc) or just enjoying the day out.
I've had great difficulty in choosing an image from the day. What about the daredevils on their motor bikes, or the Scottish pipe band, or the small girl who scaled the climbing wall, or the girls and ponies who reminded me of Thelwell? In the end I decided to show you one example of judging. It is a very serious business and the people standing outside the ring have strong opinions too!
This morning, I took Mum to the optician's where there may be a solution to her new lenses that do not work. We'll reserve judgement, but it was better than being told nothing could be done.
