Lighthearted Month-end

The original of this photograph in our family archives, was taken circa 1898 just prior to the Siege of Ladysmith and shows my wife's maternal great-grandfather Joseph, a Sergeant Farrier with the 69th Field Artillery, Royal Artillery and his '"trusty steed", a young foal.

Tomorrows blip will be another humorous picture taken at the same time.
