"It's more than rain, that falls on our parade"
Today we drove for hours to go to the Cliffs of Moher on the West Coast of Ireland. We had planned on spending the day here walking and hiking around the cliffs and the Burren, however, the weather had a different plan for us. It was not only lashing rain but it was blowing a fierce strong wind too. We were soaked through to our underwear before we even got out of the carpark. But we were not going to let a little storm put us off, so we marched on up to the cliffs but when Vicci was nearly knocked off her feet by a strong gust of wind we decided not to go any further. So we took loads of photos, had a look around the gift shop and then gave two hikers a lift to their hostel as they said that they were too afraid to hike in such awful conditions. Usually we would brave anything and say feck it but I think we made the right call on this one. We then headed straight to Galway, booked in to a hotel, got changed and headed out on the town. I very good alternative indeed.
