Mud Bath

The Red Deer rut will start in 2 or 3 weeks time, so the stags are starting to spruce themselves up ready to attract the females. This process involves a new hair do and a bath. There were about six stags at the water all taking in turns for a bath. They will soon be fighting each other for the females.
