The Bush has worked!!!
In an effort to make my garden more insect friendly (and therefore provide more blip subjects) I invested in a Buddliea bush. At first I didn't think it would have any flowers this year, but over the last couple of weeks the flowers have developed and bloomed, and now this afternoon there have been several butterflies enjoying the flowers and nectar.
This morning it was quite bright so I got the bike out and went for a 12 mile loop in preparation for the Sky Ride in York that I'll be doing with my Dad in a couple of weeks. It was a nice fresh, almost early autumn morning. I took my big lens with me in the hope of possibly seeing the buzzards. I did get a glimpse of a Kestrel which was beautifully lit against some dark clouds, but I didn't have time to get the lens on the camera.
This afternoon has been lovely lazing in the sunshine in the garden reading in the warmth which has returned after a few days of coolness. Bliss.
