Dad's birthday

We got out for a walk this afternoon along the Prom and the light was gorgeous with Morecambe Bay looking good.

My Dad is 81 today. He sounded very chipper when I spoke to him on the phone this morning and tomorrow I am going south to see him and take him out for lunch with No 2 son.

Last year he had a party for his 80th with friends and family and my brother and his family came over from New Zealand. It doesn't seem a year since then.

In his time Dad was a great cyclist and he enjoys reminiscing about his holidays in Europe on his push bike with my Mum. He told me that he had cycled over Col du Mont Cenis years ago.
