Through Jo's Lens

Sunday Living!!

Today Brian and I went to the Sancastle in Blackpool with Jed and Rowan. None of us had ever been there before. We decided to go early as we'd read the reviews and we aware that it gets busy. We were there for just after 9am so no queues. Well there was a queue at the parking meter as I tried (and failed) to put in £5 of silver coins. The machine would only take so much before spewing the money out. After two attempts I gave up and changed the silver for pound coins.

The Sancastle was brilliant fun. Jed was the adventurous one...going on all the big chutes and one ride that looked like a skateboard thing (only with water!). Rowan was happy in the wave pool and the flowing stream. The stream was my fave too. I did a couple of chutes and the wave pool....great fun! Brian had fun too even though (whisper it) he can't swim (although he said he'd have a go if he absolutely had to!!). Not much chance of him drowning though when he could still stand up in the deep end with his head and shoulders well out of the water! We'll be going again.

On the way home we called at the Clarks outlet shop for school shoes.

Lewis, who didn't come to the water park with us, obviously had much more interesting things to do....ah well, he is a growing teenager so he needs his sleep!
