Cairngorm Plateau

A view from Broomhill, across the Spey to the Cairngorms. There is still snow up there in the coires. Much of the massif is over 4000 feet. We had spent the day, glorious again, in the Abernethy woods looking at toothed fungi. It was a very successful day but all the pics are esoteric, to say the least. Suffice it to say we found Hydnellum Gracilipes, one of the rarest in Britain, pink but only about 5mm in length. We found quite a variety of Phelledon, Hydnellum and Bankera.
