Fruitfulness
Up early for a long Sunday morning walk, and there was a distinct autumnal feel on the South Downs: berries everywhere, and the opportunity - after a very difficult few days when my depression has been hard to handle - to get some quiet and to take some photos. This was shot with my old manual Soviet Helios 44-M 58mm f2 lens, a favourite; using it seems to evoke a reassuring feeling of photography as craft, a sense of making an image rather than having it done for you by the camera.
The one that didn't quite make today's cut is here.
