Lately, in the garden...

Well, not our garden, to be honest. Rather the garden of the Falconeria Locarno.

How I love these big birds! Seeing them you know what majestic means.

BUT the bald eagle is a cheeky bugger according to a book that I read on them:
They are very eager to steal prey from other eagles rather than hunting themselves. So eager, that even when they have just now catched something themselves but get the chance to grab fish from the neighbor, they will leave their own prey for the chance to steal...
Hm, does that speak for the heraldic animal of the US? ;)
