Road Trip

It was Cape Town road trip day, and what an incredible trip it was. We took the coastal road to Cape Point, stopping off at a couple points including the magnificent Boulders Beach where we got to see a whole load of wonderful penguins - which became blip for today as I really like this shot.

We went to Cape Point, went up to the lighthouse and looked out in all directions, thinking what parts of the world lie beyond the horizon. The place is so steeped in history and it was sensational to visit and see a place which I have heard about so often.

We continued up the coast, past a school in Hout Bay where Rach visited in her school years, until we made our way to Table Mountain. We got the cable car up to the top and the view was beautiful. Cape Town sprawling below, Robben Island in the distance, the sun shining of the Atlantic Ocean, South Africa in front of us. It was breathtaking.
