Playing life by ear.

A different ending.

We spent the day at sea with Silvia and Edoardo. First a long, long swim and soak in perfectly still water, then when a brisk breeze picked up , a thundering sail.

Silvia brought stacks of food, as cooking is her "thing". We normally eat a lump of parmesan cheese and fruit for lunch when sailing but thanks to Silvia, we had a spaghetti omlette with many cheeses including gorgonzola, "Eggplant parmigiana" and home made jam tart.

By late afternoon we'd had enough so we anchored off Anzio bay where we were joined by Simone, the Pilot and Co. Silvia found a bottle of limoncello and lively conversation ensued.

By that time I was feeling really rotten, thanks to one of my teeth but one paracetamol and half an hour later I was almost back to normal.

Silvia's left overs and (my) home made banana ice cream served as our evening meal so I didn't have to cook. Another gorgeous day.

We are learning to be more sociable and more appreciative.
