A favourite Old Tree

This is my favourite tree at Dunham Massey - a very old oak which still has one big branch of leaves, so very much alive, although not apparent from its trunk. A brief excursion to the park on a getting sorted at home day. Getting distinctly autumnal - lots of beech mast on the beech trees, but no acorns on the oaks, maybe they are having a fallow year.
