Clean round

Today was competition day for my daughter, it's always very difficult to spectate, I'm completely out of control (and I hate that!). Emily had a great competition, her first clean round (which means no falls/big mistakes on bars, beam, vault and floor). I'm in awe of these gymnasts, the slightest mistake costs them dearly. All those long hours in training, and it comes down to a few minutes in competition.

No flash allowed during competition, so nothing but grain images, but I like this shot for what it represents. This is Emily prior to her forward roll on beam, which she landed today....this is the sharp intake of breath and game face!
