Urban wildlife

Pop goes the weasel rat(s).

Just as I stepped to the curb to hail a taxi this morning little heads popped out of holes in some pieces of concrete in an area where the sidewalk was under construction. (Aside - sidewalks are continuously under construction in Bangkok!) When I looked again, they were gone. Then one head poked out and then another. They got far enough out to get their forepaws on top and then popped back in. I imagined their mother had told them to stay in the hole while she was gone but the naughty little characters were testing the limits. They were up and down so many times that I was able to get my iphone out and snap some pics (and got a few stares in the meantime...oh, the woes of blipping...)

It just goes to show that babies of every species are cute.
