No Silver Lining
Mrs. Tuttle's sister came up this afternoon and will be staying with us for one night. As part of their plan, after a healthy dose of lemon curd, cream 'n' scones, they visited Uncle T, who is being looked after in Holyhead due to to a frustrating illness. It was lovely from them to visited but was mired by the sad state Uncle T is in.
When they returned I made a quick dash to a nearby vantage spot hoping to capture a decent blip. Half way through this long exposure shot I received a text from Mrs Tuttle that the Gazebo has to come down due to 35+mph winds tonight. As the clouds in this shot suggests, meant my quick dash became a flash dash. Not too disheartened as I am quite pleased with it, though there is a telephone box on the LHS and more hedgerow on the RHS meaning it would've made it a more interesting shot. Maybe next time.
My sister-in-law kindly offered to take Tuttle Jnr & R out for a stroll on the beach when I got back. L & co had already dismantled the Gazebo, which meant there was time for a trip to the chippy as a BBQ was out of the question. Upon our return it p!ssed down. Upon the stroller's return it p!ssed down even more and they were absolutely saturated.
So we had our tea in our tent while the others had tea in theirs. The best way of describing our experience here was like eating chips off our laps sitting on stools in a drying room surrounded by dripping wet clothes!
But he chips were feckin' yummy!
Not so good for our friend's new dome tent as it more or less imploded on them as we took an early nights sleep. we were all up most of the early hours trying to re-peg the guy ropes, re-position the wind breakers & cars etc. We had a shit nights sleep. But we pulled through as the wind eventually settled......
