Wooden Cross

I walked around our local church today on the lookout for an interesting shot and came across this lump of wood lying against a wall.

It looked intriguing and so I made a closer inspection and to my surprise it appeared to be a head stone except it was wood.

I cant remember seeing a wooden grave marker before and it looked very old.
