Welcome Back

This Red Shouldered Hawk was an almost daily visitor to our pond last Fall. The big attraction being, no doubt, our cute froggys and maybe a snake or two. Well, Ms Hawk has returned and sat today for about 25 minutes studying the pond. Since we two are well acquainted she allowed me to get wonderfully close, wasn't even concerned about my long lens. I took over 200 shots and finally just got tired and went in the house. I don't know if Ms Hawk took a pond dweller or not.

Here's the WHOLE HAWK. And...a sweet little HUMMER. A TROPICAL CHECKERED-SKIPPER. And last, but certainly not least...MAICA.
