WAXWING SURPRISE

Seeing this sleek waxwing is a ‘first’ for me – very unusual & quite exciting! It was a quick shot, as you can see by the movement in the background, with no time to adjust the settings. I’m so relieved it turned out somewhat decent! I was focusing on some other birds when I noticed this smooth beauty land on a distant branch. I think I had about three seconds before it flew off again.
