West Terschelling
We decided to have a rest day in Terschelling so got the ferry tickets moved on; that quickly seemed like a mistake - the shops were all closed and it chucked it down for a couple of hours. But hey, just after midday it 'came away nice'. So, off we set along the island - it's a fine and attractive place and blimey we found an open coop - disposable BBQs and wine (and even food), so after a couple of beers a fine evening was guaranteed. We even found the campsite lumber and made a fire. Though we didn't sing songs. In fact, we couldn't even talk.
[along this road was a war cemetery full of RAF airmen, each grave sponsored by a local person. Not bad given that the English burned the place to the ground in 1666]
