Construction work wanted

The folk in the middle / top of the pic are sitting on the pavement / sidewalk waiting for a construction job. Work is scarce. Sometimes they wait all day for no job.

Anyway, I found a couple of good quotes about construction that I thought would add some depth to the reader's enjoyment.
