A day of contrast

We had a meandering day taking in Midmar Dam, the Howick Falks, a wee drink at Cavesham Mill, a visit to the Mandela museum recording where and when Madiba was captured before the Rivonia Trials, a visit to the Nottingham Road Brewery, some shopping in the craft shops before a late lunch, early supper at the Nottingham Road Hotel.

A pretty busy day in stunning scenery.

Thankfully the sort of sign in the bottom picture are no longer around but it's sometimes hard to believe that less than 30 years ago these terms were still used.

Heading home tomorrow for a belated birthday celebration with the Shiv who turned 5 last Friday. Where does the time go?
