ELEGANCE

After missing the Spotted Crake for the second day running we travelled on to Esseborne Manor for a family 50th wedding anniversary lunch. And very pleasant it was too once I realised that all these grown up young ladies in modern attire were the little girls in frilly frocks I last saw at a wedding too many years ago. Strangely, the little boys from that wedding didn't seem to have changed much at all!

Then it was the long and tiring drive home with thankfully only one cross country detour to avoid motorway mayhem.
