Eve and I visited Great Grandma today - Eve has been nagging to go for weeks as Grandma Betty has books and toys galore, endless patience AND a real live bird in the front room. She's also extremely generous with cake portions. I will never forget how she used to feed my little sister entire steamed puddings when she was about 3.

She's a wonderment and looks after us well.
