Remembering...

An afternoon visit to the nearby village of Compton Dando, where the local church was holding a Village Tribute to WWI exhibition. On display was information relating to all the individual villagers who had gone off to fight in WWI, as well as memorabilia lent by village families. Dotted around the church were displays and paintings of poppies, created by the local art group.

It was a beautiful setting for an interesting and moving exhibition, with the golden sunlight streaming in through the windows and doors....
