in other news, i got a new mp3 player today, and it's pretty, but i'm not sure.. i've never spent so much money on myself in my life. i'm sure it's nothing compared to what you probably spend on a camera (my little point-and-shoot cost me about $125), but i have tuition to think about.. i hope i don't regret it.

and tomorrow i go with my family to visit some old family friends. the youngest is having his bar mitzvah. it will be nice to see everyone again
