Derwentwater and Catbells

I wasn't ready this morning so had to return home after my meeting. However, with added incentive, I managed to pack up and was only an hour and a half later than planned.

The added incentive was caused by a chance remark on blip yesterday. After a few comments and emails backwards and forwards an unexpected first time blipmeet was arranged with PaulaJ.

We met at the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick and had a gentle walk by the lake and a drink in the cafe. It was lovely to put a face to a name. Thankyou for a lovely couple of hours Paula and for giving me a good start to my holiday, I think I might have lost the afternoon if we hadn't arranged to meet.

After we parted I had another meander by the lake and then continued on my journey by the scenic route. I am now in my hotel in Dumfries with a G&T. This is the start of a big loop round the North.
