perfect and imperfect
..not tenses, but my vegetables, harvested today. The perfect cabbage went to my young neighbours next door and their two wee boys, who love cabbage...and the not so perfect parsnip will be in my soup early next week. It was another lovely cold sharp day today and in between flat bound things, I managed to get a little bit of winter digging done, removing the last of my brussels sprouts to make way for the planting of carrot seed in a few weeks time once Ive warmed up the soil. I have been advised on very good authority that that is the way to give them a fighting chance. Growing carrots successfully has been a goal for at least the last ten years. And Ive never quite made it...so keep your fingers crossed for this year! I certainly could not have a better guide and teacher.
Possibly no blip for a couple of days. Im heading north over Rannoch to Invergarry and Fort William for a get together with sisters, friends and a ceilidh...hopefully will have some splendid northern shots with me when I return.
