Three years ago........

......my friend Astrid gave me a piece of a cactus leaf that she had brought over from Holland. And encouraged me to root it and wait!
And wait!
And wait a little more!!
Three years later.....whilst the plant had grown apace and is multi stemmed ,3 feet tall and across and a uniform green....I began to wonder why!!
Tonight.my patience has been rewarded!
Its 8inch flower is absolutely beautiful and my house is filled with its succulent perfume!
It opens for one night only and is fertilised by moths , and if you are lucky is followed by edible dragon fruit.
If anyone would like a piece of leaf give me a shout.
Then sit and wait!!
And wait!
And wait!
