Club Med 2

This is a 5 mast computer controlled sailing ship which combines diesel electric power divining two propellers with her 7 sails to cruise with 386 passengers and a crew of 214. Quite a sight in the Cromarty Firth tonight with five of her sails deployed.

Caught this shot as the harbour pilot was leaving the vessel via a rope ladder.

At just under 15,000 tonnes she is relatively small in the cruise liner world but that just makes it easier for her to get into smaller harbours.

When on location the captain can deploy a water sports deck from the stern of the ship so that guests can go jet skiing sailing and canoeing. Makes it quite the party boat in a way.
