Today's action: Allotment arson
It was not the first and fears are it won't be the last either. With much devotion people work in allotment gardens, growing flowers and vegetables. Allotments often are organised and allotment parks sometimes have a community building where allotment owners can gather for meetings or just for a cup of tea or coffee.
This Sunday morning the community building on one of our city's allotment parks burnt down. People's work of many years destroyed within a couple of hours. And why? Probably because some sick minds think it's fun to set the building alight. Of course this might be a bit premature, but police absolutely think this might be a deliberate act of crime.
What in the world would make someone do this? There must be something terribly wrong then. There's no gain at all, it's just a need to destroy someone's property for no good reason at all. Maybe just to watch from a distance to see the firefighters do their job, maybe just for the kicks.
In any case, it's no fun at all for the emergency workers, and much less for those who spent many hours and a lot of money to build up their own little garden and the common building they use to undertake their hobby. No fun at all, this allotment arson.
