Oil Leak Repair
I am very pleased that I found and repaired the oil leak on my little Yamaha 250 motorcycle.
The copper washer gasket on the retaining screw for clutch operating shaft was damaged, once upon a time, causing an oil leak hidden under the crankcase side cover.
I got lucky when I succeeded in resurfacing the damaged copper washer such that it sealed properly when I reinstalled it under the clutch shaft retaining screw.
I'll run the motorcycle around for a couple of days to see if the oil leak reappears.
Should the leak return, I'll have to break down and spend 50 cents on a new copper gasket.
In any case, I do believe that the oil leak has certainly been identified and repaired
Sweet.
