Memories of Mum

I was looking through a book today, and came across a shopping list tucked away, written by my Mum. Mum died in 2006.

I was always fascinated by her writing, particularly the capital letters. I had a little smile as I read though her list of well recognised staples like Milk (underlined) and Dig Biscuits (always McVities.) A mysterious listing however of "Butterflies", and included next to Bacon, the word "Bank" reminding her to visit the bank.

A bottle of sherry listed too, perhaps for a trifle, or maybe for the 5pm tipple. Cheers Mum xx . And now from nowhere a few tears. Miss her every day.
