Yesterday's travels home turned into an adventure and a half and let's just say I was glad to finally get home. After my second train was cancelled heading out of the Netherlands, I was stranded in Maastricht. Thanks to a lovely bus driver Julien Hanno (literally a god send) I was able to get to a station that would get me to Luxembourg. He took me on his bus into Belgium where he knew there was a bus to the city where the station could be found. 2 hours, and three buses later I finally made it to the next station (having missed all my connecting trains). Finally on the train to Luxembourg and I was told track works would prevent the train from getting to it's destination. So another bus and another train later I had finally made it to Luxembourg...just as my train left the station. I finally made it home at 10pm (5 hours late), having been on 4 trains, in 5 buses and passed through 4 countries in the space of 10 hours. What a day. Just SO thankful to the Juliens of this world!
