Thoughts of a Mummy

On the go....

We had a full house this morning. Peach hasn't had any work today, so he was around to help get the girls up and ready for the day.

It also gave me the chance to walk DM and her friend to school, without having to drag the smaller three there and back.

The girls had a lovely morning in Hinckley with Peach, while I stayed at home sorting out the washing and also doing some ironing.

R&P were at school this afternoon and can now confirm that their teacher has now heard "the noise". This is the noise that sounds like a loud squawk of a bird that's in pain - when in actual fact it's Rubes not getting her own way and wants attention. The sound drives us insane, we've lost count of the number of times we've ignored it, told her off, asked her to speak calmly and even responded to the noise. We have no idea how or why on earth she discovered the noise, but seriously wish she'd stop it. Fortunately, we had forewarned her teachers and they were prepared. I'm sure we'll compare notes and methods of treatment going forward ;)

Pops was quick to tell me that Rubes had been naughty at school. Apparently her and another child kept being disruptive and were therefore separated, but after a while, they'd find each other and have to be moved again.

Seriously, the teachers are going to have so much fun with my twin girls - good luck there ;)

Aj had an afternoon out with Nana. Aj slept on the way there, woke up and started crying for me, happily ate all food put in front of her (and anyone else near her) and was then grumpy again once the effects of the food wore off. Aj loves to explain all that she's been up to and quite often what everyone has around has been doing too. She's so perceptive and informative; it really does amaze me how much she knows at her age.

DM had dance straight from school and was shattered when she finally got home.

It was an instant dinner, wash & bed night for the girls tonight, whilst I had a meeting to attend to about keeping our Village Library.
