Market Gardens

Pukekohe Hill has always been known as one of the prime areas of potato growing in New Zealand, with wonderful frost free red soil. Today, there is less area in cropping as residential developments spread taking in the great views.

After dropping the children off at school this morning, I popped up the road with my camera to capture an area that is still being cropped, the spuds looking great.

Called in to see the Pukekohe Arts Festival this afternoon, a wonderful collection of photography, painting, fibre arts, pottery and wood work.
