Early morning on Lake Titicaca

Having given up the idea of sleep by 3am, with a hotel room that backed onto the kitchen, has a goods railway line down the side, where the wild dogs like to hang out, and fierce electrical storms,...I switched on the light and read half a book instead. So was up in the early light and went for a walk along the lakeside edge when it seemed so much quieter and tranquil than it had all through the night.
Sitting on the edge like this made me feel quite soulful and melancholy. I start the long journey back down to Lima today and so this is the last leg of my Peruvian adventure. The long waterway out to the main lake in this picture seemed quite fitting. I've come a very long way and have a long way to come home.......and then I need to sort some important stuff out that I have been letting sift through my head whilst drinking in these amazing sights and different cultures. There will be a couple of more pics yet...Wifi permitting....but so far I've been amazed at how good access has been...better than in my little house in Lancashire!! Its been nice taking half an hour a day to share with you!
