West Camel

I visited this nearby village today to talk to Rev Peter Clarke as we wish him to feature in our WI publication -History of Marston Magna in the 20th Century. He was delighted to be included. During the 1970's the church allowed men to study to become ordained while continueing with their work. He studied for 2 years and eventually became the first non stipendiary priest in the diocese. He instigated many community based activities in the village and now some 25 years later, he says that Marston is the most perfect village community that he has ever experienced.
That's a nice thing to say about where we live, isn't it? I hope it's still true today.
