Mice

I encouraged the children to do a bit of house cleaning today using bribery (I went to work before they were out of bed!).

The list I left had been well and truly ticked of and the house and garden are looking considerably neater (Martin will be pleased). However, the person (who shall be nameless) responsible for cleaning the bathrooms failed to notice that a mouse had taken up residence in something akin to mouse-Buckingham-Palace in the cupboard in the downstairs toilet. I got rather a shock when I checked..since the mouse in question waved and smiled at me beneath it's enormous shredded toilet paper nest and scurried away!

I have now ordered humane mouse traps as the poison doesn't seem to be working, and will report back.
