Boy Racer

I found Martin admiring the wreck of an ancient E-type Jaguar which looked beyond repair to me. He mistook my bemusement for admiration, and told me his life story through the medium of all the sports cars he has owned. Apart from Jaguars, he reeled off Alfa Romeos, and Porsches, Aston Martins, Lancias - I felt like I'd unwittingly fallen into the pages of Classic Car Monthly.
