Duncan Who?

So, Obama has landed and is probably tucked up in the presidential suite of the Celtic Manor (of which he has hired all the rooms) ready for the hobnobbing tomorrow.

Whatever your view on NATO and it's agenda there is no doubt of the impact that this summit is having on Cardiff and Newport. The 'ring of steel' and hundreds (thousands?) of (very friendly) police persons that have been drafted in from across the UK and the appearance of the mahoosive HMS Duncan in Cardiff along with various other warships in Roath Lock. There were lots of people out this afternoon to watch the spectacle and although I did get some snaps of the boats, I thought that this shot epitomised the situation we Cardiffians are in; held back by steel fences with police presence everywhere. This group were feeling up the handrails although I think the one in the middle is wondering why the heck they were asked to do that!
